My story at LEONI
Hi, I'm Freddy Cauich, and I've been at LEONI for five years and nine months. Although I only studied until middle school, I came here looking for a new opportunity. During these years, I have also worked as a Clerk Storekeeper, always willing to help where needed. Now I am a Specialist Storekeeper, and I am in charge of unloading raw material from the units. This task is very important because it affects the inventory and the production line, since the material must be available on time. What I like most about my job is the freedom to do my tasks; they trust me without putting pressure on me all the time.
This is my job
A typical day for me starts at 7:00 a.m. checking e-mails and to-dos. From 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., I take care of processing all the incoming raw material. Then, I continue with this task until I finish my shift.
My highlight
One of the moments I remember most proudly was when I received a recognition from an executive at the Americas level. It also felt great to be part of a continuous improvement project. One of the biggest challenges for me was learning how to operate a stand-up forklift, but thanks to the training I received, I was able to do it. In addition, I have felt a lot of support from LEONI, which has always given me the necessary tools to do my job in the best possible way.
My view of LEONI as an employer
What I find special about LEONI is the help with transportation, the free canteen, and the flexible schedule. Although I think we can still improve the interaction between the teams, for my part, I try to support the growth of my colleagues to make a difference.
My tips
To be successful at LEONI, I think it is important to like what you do, be consistent, willing to learn, and disciplined. My advice to those starting is to not be influenced by what you hear, but to create your own opinion with your experience.
