Job Description
- Continuously monitors market trends and economic, technical, and social risks for assigned categories, subcategories, and suppliers (market studies).
- Implements global purchasing strategies for assigned categories and subcategories based on customer/internal stakeholder requirements and market data/trends.
- Negotiates full alignment of terms, conditions, and customer requirements with suppliers and mitigates deviations between internal and external stakeholders.
- Executes benchmarks and commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve RFQ/project objectives and customer strategic purchases.
- Identifies and drives the implementation of VA/VE ideas.
- Negotiates and implements cash and capital improvement measures with suppliers.
- Prepares and continuously updates the category statement for RFQ/customer projects.
- Ensures that supplier onboarding, award, and release processes meet the requirements.
- Concludes relevant supplier contracts (e.g., Framework Agreement, Service Level Agreement, Quality Assurance Agreement, including appropriate prior agreements) within the assigned responsibility scope.
- Manages the assigned global supplier portfolio based on customer and internal stakeholder requirements, including identifying and onboarding new capable suppliers to enhance competitiveness.
- Derives measures with suppliers to safeguard capabilities for the delivery of goods and services.
- Reports to management Material Price Variances on monthly basis.
- Supports team on business needs such as department's specific tasks, business duties, etc.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bilingual (essential: advanced English)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or any engineering degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in: purchasing, purchasing planning, project scheduling, ABC analysis, make vs Buy analysis, supplier relationship management, performance improvement
- Experience with MS Office: PowerPoint presentations, Excel sheets, Word (editing/marking documents) (able to create high-quality presentations).
- Able to manage multiple projects or tasks at once (multitasking with progress and real results).
- Great communicator, problem solver, and strong work ethic (integrity).
- Purchasing application tools, Big Data Analytics, SIPOC Diagram.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing industry
